Dairy Soresina chose the cogeneration plant to natural gas AB to get electricity and heat. In the plant in the province of Cremona, where milk is conferred worked to produce grain, provolone cheese, butter, fresh milk and UHT, installed Ecomax 27 HE natural gas. Net of consumption of auxiliary equipment, the plant produces electricity entirely consumed in the site. A good part of the thermal energy produced by the CHP is recovered and used for the production of hot water and steam, reducing heating the use of existing boilers. The technical heating data of the co-generator are: PCI natural gas 9.5 kW / h / Nm 3; Natural gas consumption 628 Nm 3 / h; introduced power 5974 kW; mechanical power output 2747 kWe; electrical power supplied 2681 kWe; electrical efficiency of 44.9%; thermal heating efficiency of 41.2%; overall efficiency of 86.1%. The total recoverable thermal power is equal to 2463 kW, of which 1489 kWt recovered from the cooling water circuit of the engine (1293 kW) and the battery recovery fumes (196 kW) in the form of hot water, and from the heat exchanger 974 kWt recovery fumes in the form of steam.
