I have not thought about this post to be exact date, but rushed circumstances. Title evident that a lot will differ from the theme of the forum, which I hope you will forgive me. But the reason for this is good, I promise.
I want to present to your attention a book (well, a series of de facto), won the competition and this child of our boy. Bulgarian, ie The title is "Songs Beyond: The victim" and ocheizbozhdashto, this is a fantasy. And then you bash Fantasy - classic, epic, magical, completely overwhelming ... all that fantasy was (aha!) and should be. So this is all about.
I generally do not write reviews, styleco and I do not intend - to write a quality review, you need knowledge and experience, styleco and in my humble opinion, styleco to me these are largely absent. Those who know me a little better, knowing my (huge) styleco bias in terms of this genre (it is not that it is evident from the blog ef) and therefore have a tendency to be very critical of almost everything new that has come into my hands. In other circumstances probably would not have given a chance in the case (as for now I do not think to read the other two works that have won awards in the competition styleco - mainly due to lack of time), but the conditions are least inak.
With Radostin Nanov (author) know each other virtually-rendered relatively some time (back then when the RP ruled the world) and this is partly why the book I grab the attention. Another reason lies in the fact that for months I read "snippets" of the book and boldly say that when something gets better, it shows. Really. Two sentences of five or reading of the whole chapter ... does not matter. That it can, can it, and the way the plot develops, remains somewhat in the background as soon as the narrative style is enthralling and captivating. The beginning was a little hesitant, I admit, a bit rambling ... but the middle of the first volume (the book is divided into two, yes, move on the part of the publisher, which in itself suggests that the product is good) gaining stunning speed . No rush though, note - every word is exactly the right place and weighs meaning that brings and builds that mental picture of the world that makes the reader styleco feel like he was there.
As to the particular book, however, and the story itself is strong enough and snatch to deserve the attention of every fan of the fantasy genre. The world is to-o-axis large and in this first part did not even see all of it. It is rich, colorful is the nations have their own character and uniqueness (my safari animals between the way), and as I said in goodreads, magic is magic. styleco Three amazing. Characters for what to say? Interesting are, indeed, suggest things that should happen in the sequel ("Songs of beyond: Forgot principality '), but the crown jewel is definitely both hubostnitsi - Roridan and Anna. Rory is definitely the kind of male characters who would prastentsa curling at the girls and the boys will quote his witty words. Quite complicated as a character, in fact, with an interesting past in Fairhaven and more interesting development then. Anna is .. girl. In the fullest possible sense. styleco Whatever you think a girl like feature can assign styleco it to her, and probably will not go wrong. And to some extent the choice of this character to be built in this way is surprising because usually tend to avoid stereotypes. And this is going wrong if you think that it falls into this category. Anna is just as it should be, and Rory. This is important for the story, it is important for the outcome and I am tempted to say more, but I hope that at least someone will like my words will give the booklet. I do not want to spoil anyone's surprise. styleco :) So I will focus only on the maddening link they have Bought of each other. It's really maddening at times, fun at others, still others you will catch them and ... I do not know, or lock them in a room together, or just kill them. But the very fact that it produces such feelings in the reader (that is, with me) talk about quality storytelling.
And do not think that my flattering words mean that Similarities with "Wheel of Time". :) Feedback can be found as with many works well with many images of reality - something which is valid for each work. And when done with finesse, and I think to a large extent this is the case, it therefore is a good book.
