Hello good people! I am looking for a film camera. baseboard I feel I'm ready for the step up from DSLR filming, because now I've been at it a good period and I will get me away from 4: 2: 0 and h.264. Just as a little baseboard background info, I filmed a lot with DSLR from Canon and Nikon, mainly in 5D2 and 5D3. The two cameras I've looked at most Canon C100 and Blackmagic Cinema Camera, which BMCC is undoubtedly the most interesting. C100 costs around 41.000, - and a camera baseboard with many benefits, but the biggest drawback is probably the limited video quality you get 24Mbps AVCHD. Only the camera saves on SD card says well enough that there are limited quality one gets here. This is where Black Magic comes in. To 25,000 - gets 2.5k raw files stored right on SSD. Now we're talking. But then comes the limitations of BMCC. BMCC - Advantages Cheap! 25k 2.5K RAW 1080p ProRes Bright Bright picture! A dream! Thunderbolt I / O DaVinci Resolve 13 stop dynamic range BMCC - Disadvantages 2.3x crop factor on Canon optics baseboard my not so good battery life Fixed battery Not ergonomic; must have rig / Extras Not XLR audio; no phantom Expensive storage media ISO 1600 highest LONG delivery! Huff ... C100 - Benefits optics my go right on LONG battery life Replaceable battery 20,000 ISO (!) 2x XLR with phantom C100 - Disadvantages Many money for 24Mbps
